My name is Stacie Tan Yee Sing and I graduated from University of Cincinnati in May 2024, with a Bachelor of Nutritional Science, emphasis on clinical nutrition. Throughout my studies , I became fascinated by how food composition and quality directly impacts metabolic response and overall health. This curiosity has driven me to expand my interest in food science

As I continued to seek my passion with learning more about food production and gain more insight of food functionality and I am currently aspiring to get in to interdisciplinary study of food science and nutrition in the future. As I wish to continue to work toward becoming a food and nutrition researcher.

Throughout my studies, I developed a passion for understanding food production and how food functionality plays a role in health. I am applying to graduate programs to expand my scope of knowledge, specifically in the areas of food functionality, bioactivity of plant-based ingredients, and sustainable food systems.

As I aspire to bridge the gap between nutrition and food science, my research interests include studying the functional properties of carbohydrates and proteins, exploring the bioactivity of plant-based ingredients as alternative to modern eating, and contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative food products. Ultimately, I am driven to become a food and nutrition researcher focused on creating solutions that promote better health outcomes and environmental sustainability.
