Getting started with answering the question I have always had before entering this major:
Growing up, I often grappled with insecurities about my body. If you ever feel of body image struggle, hey, you are never alone, a struggle that many can relate to. I was raised in a society where most of the surrounding of me has standard of what should a "healthy body" looks like. SKINNY, is often the bar for the standard, and I believed in that standard too.
Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a project with a friend that focused on embracing the natural form of our bodies, and it took a lot of bravery for me to step in front of the camera. This experience opened my eyes to the importance of self-acceptance and love for every inch of who I am.
While I truly cherish my body, I also find myself in a continuous state of self-exploration 🤩. I believe that personal growth involves challenging both our physical and mental limits, and I’m excited to embark on this journey in a positive way!
